Hi! We are Rey and Jovits, from Danville, California, and we have been blessed.  We have so much love in our family that we wish to share it.  We wish to grow our family and raise a child like our very own.  We wish to bless the child as much as the child will bless us. 

We have a big house, but its walls and ceilings could be made much brighter by the smile of a child.  Its rooms and halls could be made more joyful with the sounds of a child’s laughter.  Its space could be put to better use with the skipping and hopping of a playful child.  We are looking forward to starting our own family through the gift of adoption.

A Family Surrounded by Love

We come from loving families.  Rey comes from a family of six children.  Four of his siblings (and their spouses and kids) live within 35 miles of our home.  Jovits comes from a family of five children.  All four of her siblings live within 30 miles of us. 

We get together as a family nearly every week.  We celebrate birthdays at a sibling’s home.  We play tennis every few weeks.  We go on vacations together, such as to the Mexican Riviera, Yosemite Park, Vancouver Canada, Las Vegas, and many others.  We throw the occasional movie party.  We dine out at different restaurants. 

And we love our little nieces and nephews.  We treasure the time that we play with them.  We cherish the activities we share with them. 

But between our families, there are only six of these little ones.  Everyone wishes there were more of them in our families.  When a new baby joins our family, everyone will be absolutely thrilled.  The baby will have lots of instant playmates and adoring uncles and aunties.

About Us

We were born and raised in the Philippines, where the culture places a strong emphasis on family.  Rey graduated with a BS degree in Computer Science from one of the nation’s top universities.  Jovits graduated from a college in Manila with a degree in Accounting. 

Shortly after graduation, Rey came to the United States.  Jovits followed a similar path.  We have been happily married for eight years now, and we are now looking forward to the next chapter of our lives as parents.

Healthy Lifestyle

We are in good health.  Rey plays golf and tennis every weekend.  Jovits stays active at home and with friends.  By God’s grace we have been free of any health issues – except for the inability to conceive a child of our own. 

We hope to be blessed with a baby through adoption.  We can hardly wait to involve our baby in our daily life.  We will enjoy the fresh air and the laughter of children playing in the park.  We will have fun and sunshine and sand castles in the beach.  We will share lots of playtime with our many little nieces and nephews. 

And when the baby has grown into a child, we will have even more activities together.  We will explore hiking trails, learn art and science in museums, do homework, and play tennis together.  He or she will learn dance or the martial arts.  He or she will play basketball or the piano.  We will nurture whatever his or her interests would be.

 

A Beautiful Life

We live in a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood.  Our school district has consistently garnered the highest possible ratings. 

Rey loves his job as a software architect, because he gets to create applications that many people get to use or see on the Internet every day.  Jovits is a good housewife, whenever she is not keeping busy with a job as a health services representative.  She enjoys helping people who are in medical and emotional need.  Of course, when a baby joins our family, she will gladly leave her job to be a stay-at-home mom. 

We are a very loving and stable couple, and our future looks bright.

Our Hobbies

We watch a lot of movies in theaters together.  We also watch a number of TV shows together.  We call these shows our “bonding time”.  Rey has a large collection of Anime (Japanese animation).  As a youth, he collected a lot of comic books.  He self-published an action fantasy book involving his favorite comic book heroes, including Spider-man and the Avengers.  He plays golf with his brother regularly, even though he is very bad at it.  Jovits enjoys watching cooking shows and home design shows on TV.  Occasionally, she would bake and whip up dishes from these cooking shows. 

We travel on vacation together, sometimes with other family members.  We’ve been to Japan, China, Mexico, Canada, the Philippines, South Korea, and Italy.  We enjoy seeing the amazing sights and attractions, savoring the exciting local cuisines, immersing in the local culture and strange customs, and getting acquainted with the local people.  These travels give us a better appreciation of the many wonders of God’s creation, and of the many blessings we take for granted here in the United States.

The Call of Parenthood

We are ready to answer the call of parenthood.  We are really looking forward to this new chapter in our lives as parents.  In fact, we are excited about it.  The addition of a baby will only add to our happiness. 

Growing our family would give us the opportunity to share our love with another human being that we could call our own.  We feel that adoption is an excellent route to growing our family.  We can only imagine how difficult your sacrifice is, to place your child for adoption, but we hope to assure you that your child will be raised in a loving and nurturing family.

Family Values

We are both devout Catholic Christians.  We strive to live according to our Christian faith, doing unto others as we would have them do unto us.  One of our favorite biblical verses is Proverbs 22:6 which reads, “Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it”. 

Our parents raised us with strong family values: love and respect for others, and faith in God.  And we intend to continue that tradition in our own family.

Ready to Parent

We would be overjoyed to have a child in our home.  We expect that child rearing would not always be easy or convenient or pleasant, but we are excited to take on this new responsibility.  Once we have a child, our time would not be ours anymore.  Our time would belong to our child.  Our world would revolve around the child, as it should.  We would be the sole providers and guardians of our child. 

We are more than ready and willing to change dirty diapers.  We look forward to applying band-aids to cuts and other boo-boos.  We can hardly wait to tell bedtime stories and kiss our child good night.  We embrace the opportunity to console and comfort our child when he or she cries.

We would love more than anything to have a baby.  We come from loving closely-knit families.  We practice our Christian faith, and we believe in the paramount importance of family.  We understand that family is wealth. 

We live in Danville, California, a great neighborhood with the highest-rated public schools.  We have a very large extended family presence in the Bay Area.  All of our cousins and nieces and nephews would be overjoyed to have a new addition to our family.  We could hardly wait to join our child in the fun family gatherings and in the festive celebrations we frequently have.
