We live in a three bedroom house in the college town of Davis, CA. We are a few miles from downtown but only blocks away from fields of corn, almond groves, and sunflowers.  We have a big back yard and a lawn where Alicia plays on her slide or plays soccer, and a number of fruit trees that grow peaches, plums, citrus, apricots, cherries, and apples!  We're only a 10 minute bike ride from the town central park, where we visit the farmer's market frequently and where Alicia can play.  Near our house are a number of good pulbic schools, including one with a Spanish immersion program, which is important to us as a bilingual family.
